Fishing
Upper Ucker Lake has very good conditions for fishing, e.g. pike, common roach,
freshwater bream, tench, carp, bass, eel.
You can buy fishing permits for the Upper Ucker Lake at the Tourist information.
These lakes do not fall under the DAV (German Fishing Association). This means that DAV members also need to purchase a fishing permit..

Afternoon quiet hours / gate closing times
In 2012, we decided to stop lift the ban on cars driving in and out of the gate during the lunch hour (a practice that used to be common at other campgrounds and ours too) and since then we have had good experiences. You can come and go from the grounds by car any time with a magnetic card anytime from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. Cars can be parked right next to or on the individual sites (exception: if you are camping on the tent terraces, your car must be parked on the terrace path).

Children
One of the guestbook entries on www.reiseland-brandenburg.de/reiseziele/uckermark says:
Our kids made new friends right away and so did we. Our kids spent a lot of time at the playground, explored the area and came home every evening at 9 o'clock asking: "Can we PLEASE go to bed? We're so tired!" and went off to the tent without any fuss. Even in the morning, we could hardly believe how late they slept. They never woke up before 8:30 a.m.!!! Ideal for families with children but also perfect for groups of all ages!!
We think this is a good description!
We don't have a full entertainment program but we do have a nice playground (it is
being fixed up in winter 2013/14, photos to follow) and the tourism office organises activities such as handicrafts, face-painting, etc. during the summer holidays. Ceramics painting is also very popular...
Cold packs
We offer cold packs to keep freezers cold for a small fee at the reception.
Ceramics painting
Ceramics painting is offered weekly during school holidays.

It is worthwhile to drive to Prenzlau if you need to shop for more. There are several discount stores and supermarkets. there. If you travel by train, Prenzlau is only 2
stations (12 min) from Warnitz. There is a Lidl supermarket close to the train station,
a bit further toward the city centre is a Netto discount supermarket.
In the Prenzlau city centre (Friedrichstraße 11) you will find a
Q-Regio store, which mainly sells regional products.
Try the Uckerkaas (a cheese made in the Uckermark) with fenugreek!
Prenzlau also has a natural foods store. We highly recommend the bread from the
store's own bakery and the daily lunch special (Mon–Fri):
Naturkost Lew-Vollkornbäckerei, Neustadt 30, 17291 Prenzlau.
The Warnitz tourist office also has a selection of these regional products. These
products are also good souvenirs to take home!
Sites
There are different kinds of sites: Unmarked sites for motorhomes/caravans to the
left of the campground entrance (Camperhöhe) and unmarked sites for tents only to
the right of the boat house. We also have marked sites that can also be reserved.
Most sites are partly in the shade, some have full sun. There are plenty of drinking
water stations, we do not have premium sites (with water/sewage connection).
Motorhomes/caravans can be parked anywhere in the area with unmarked sites (Camperhöhe):
Tent sites above the terraced level (can be reserved) – good for families:
Swimming
The quality of the water in the Upper Ucker Lake is excellent for swimming and is
subject to regular inspections by the Health Office. The big dock has a ladder which
makes it easy to get in and out of the water. A small bay is not far, great for small
children because the water here is very shallow.
